Dr. Calogeropoulos-Stratis brings strong diplomatic, academic and media expertise to the EU Focus team. A skilful diplomat, he advised Greece’s missions to the EU, UN, NATO, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Turkey and Luxembourg on media relations and policy issues.

Outside EU Focus Group, he works as an editor of the Greek edition of Neweurope – a pan-European media outlet, and acted as a special adviser to the EU Commissioner for Migration and Home Affairs.

Dr. Calogeropoulos-Stratis has a strong academic background, having authored studies and articles on international law, human rights and European policies. His diplomatic and academic achievements are recognised by the national orders of France, Belgium and Israel. Earlier in his career, he held various high-level government positions dealing with health, security, social and European affairs.

He holds a PhD in political sciences and International Law from the University of Geneva, as well as a Master’s degree in international relations from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva. A native Greek speaker, he is fluent in English and French.
