Daniel enriches EU Focus Group’ expertise with the deep knowledge of the Greater Middle East and the North Africa regions.

A self-starter and successful entrepreneur, Daniel founded and led a range of businesses in the technology, energy and petro-chemical industries.

In addition to his entrepreneurial spirit, Daniel also served as a public official and advised the Romanian President and Parliament on strategic affairs. Prior to this, Daniel did a stint as a foreign relations journalist. His professional achievements are recognised by the national orders of Belgium and Romania.

Daniel comes from an engineering background and holds an MBA from the IEDC-Bled School of Management in Slovenia, as well as a NATO leadership programme diploma. A native Romanian speaker, Daniel is fluent in English and basic in French.
