Andy spent more than 30 years in R and D, business development, regulatory affairs and public affairs positions with Bayer. He led Bayer’s non-ag European regulatory affairs team through the introduction of the Biocidal Products Directive and the negotiations leading to the subsequent Regulation (BPR) including 4 years as Chairman of Cefic’s biocides sector group. In the crop protection arena, he was Global Issues manager for Bayer covering insecticides and endocrine disruption (ED) and has made numerous presentations on ED at International events representing Bayer and as Chair of the ED expert group at Crop Life Europe.

Andy holds a PhD in insect physiology from Imperial College, London, followed by 5 years of post-doctoral research on pesticide spray application technology in the UK and at Ohio State University in the USA. He speaks English, French and has a working knowledge of German.
