In the final days of the PFAS SEAC consultation, the regulatory and political momentum around PFAS in Europe is accelerating rapidly.
In this context, I look forward to opening next Tuesday, 19 May, the PFAS Summit Europe (19–20 May 2026, Brussels), where industry leaders, legal experts and policymakers will discuss what comes next for the proposed PFAS restriction under REACH.
It is a decisive moment for stakeholders to demonstrate:
- essential uses
- technological constraints
- availability of alternatives
- realistic transition timelines
The discussions taking place now will directly influence the next stages of the EU decision-making process.
