EU Focus Group was honoured to co-organize an energising event this week in Warsaw, bringing together senior Polish government officials, farmers and agricultural stakeholders for an open and timely discussion on the role of copper fungicides in the future of EU farming, with particular focus on potatoes & vegetables growers.
Organised by the hashtagPolishPotatoFederation and EU Focus Group under the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Poland, the event took place in the gorgeous hall of the Polish Ministry of Agriculture, gathering an unprecedented number over 1,000 participants from across hashtagPoland and Europe.
The discussions reflected a common concern: access to effective crop protection tools is becoming more difficult, while resistance pressure continues to rise. Copper remains, for many, an essential pillar in sustainable agriculture which must be at the core of the EU policymaking.
